Week Note 31

July 27–August 2, 2026

While working through tester feedback, I also improved the review prompt and worked on the app icon. To improve ASO, I revised the existing timing logic so the app asks for reviews at more appropriate moments, then designed and implemented a new app icon. I’m not a designer, so it isn’t perfect, but I’m satisfied with how it turned out because I like the result.

I check the numbers every month, and July was the third-best month in sales since launch. It felt especially meaningful because I achieved it without promoting the app on Reddit or running a discount campaign. After about four months, total downloads increased by another 100 and passed 300 units.

I’m happy with the result, but I’m still not sure whether this momentum will continue. Since reaching the lowest point last December, each month has performed a little better than the previous one. My biggest concern is whether I can keep this trend going consistently.

August has arrived. I had been hoping things would start to change in the second half of the year, and I think I’ve seen a very small sign of hope. I hope I can finish the second half with good results after hanging in there this long. There’s still a lot more to do!
