Finishing up the new update has been moving more slowly than I expected. To increase sales in more countries, I worked on adding language support. I selected and added a few languages based on the ones most widely used across the 175 countries where the app is listed on the App Store. There were more languages than I expected, and I ended up using more AI tokens than I expected, too. I think using several threads at the same time contributed to the higher usage. As I started adding language support, I also recruited external testers. Fewer people joined than I had hoped, but I was glad to receive their feedback.
After downgrading to the Codex Plus plan, I ended up using all the tokens more easily than I expected, which is a little disappointing. It was difficult to use up all the tokens on the Pro 5x plan, but on Plus they disappear far too quickly. I wish there were a plan in between, but for now I have to work with what I can use in my current situation.
This week, a family member was injured, so I spent most of the week taking care of household tasks and looking after my family. That made it difficult to go out for long or travel far, so I stayed home most of the time and took care of what I needed nearby. I felt fortunate that I was in a situation where I could stay home and care for my family.
The weather is getting hotter. I thought I only needed to hang in there a little longer, but it looks like the stretch I need to get through will be a little longer than that.
